Circle’s professionals have received many requests for a loss-specific group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one due to a drug overdose. Thanks to funding from the Jenkins Foundation, we will begin offering this group in the fall to adults who have experienced this type of loss.
Loss-specific groups allow those who are grieving the same type of death to come together with a group who truly understand their experiences, challenges, and feelings. Research shows that these groups are invaluable to build one’s support system and guard against the risk of complicated grief.
